Women's Learning Community

"An Authentic Life"

It takes approximately nine months from conception for a fetus to become fully formed and ready to emerge into the world. From that point a person begins the journey of learning who she is and what she will make of her life. For a woman this often includes caring for and helping others find their way, sometimes at the cost of being clear herself what is right for her. The Women's Learning Community experience is designed to provide an opportunity for women to spend time in solitude and with each other, as they continue the journey and chart their course to their own authentic life.

During each nine-month period beginning in September, a group of eight women, who are ready to contemplate their own lives, will commit to meet together monthly for the purpose of clarifying direction and enriching their lives through self-reflection, meaningful connections, and creative learning.

The Women's Learning Community began in 2001. This year will represent the eleventh time we have presented this program. Over 80 women have participated in the WLC since its inception. Some of their comments. e Women's Learning Community program is being offered
